The Fonteyn Nureyev Young Dancers Competition (FNYDC) was launched in 2005 as a partnership project with The Rudolph Nureyev Foundation aimed at young dancers aged from 10 to 13 years old.
The competition, headed by RAD president Dame Antoinette Sibley DBE, was designed to secure the future of British ballet by supporting the passion and excitement of young dancers, nurturing their talent and encouraging their development into disciplined, professional dance. The competition gives young people the rare opportunity to experience the thrill of performing in front of a live audience on professional stages.
Unfortunately, due to lack of funding, the competition is not currently running.
If you feel you are able to provide funding for this event, please get in touch.
