The Academy is committed to creating an environment that enables children and young people to learn and develop in a safe, understanding and encouraging environment.

Data Protection Policy
The Academy is committed to keeping personal information secure and confidential. We recognise that unauthorised disclosure is a breach and an offence under the Data Protection Act.

Equality & Diversity Policy
The Academy is committed to eliminating discrimination and actively promoting equality of opportunity. We aim to ensure equal opportunities for all employees, potential employees and volunteers, students, potential students, examination candidates, clients and customers irrespective of those matters covered by legislation, namely: race or ethnic origin, gender, transgender, marital status, disability, part-time status, age, sexual orientation and religion or belief. The Royal Academy of Dance will also not discriminate on other matters which are not currently covered by legislation, such as socio-economic status.

Health and Safety Policy
The Academy has a responsibility to ensure the health and safety of employees, workers and customers. The Academy through management at all levels, will provide, as far as is reasonably practical, an environment that is safe and with minimum risk to employees and volunteers, students, visitors and members of the public. The Academy will fulfil its responsibilities by taking steps to work in accordance with the relevant Health and Safety legislation, published Approved Code of Practice and good working practices.

Social Media Policy
The growth in popularity of social media, its reach and immediacy provide organisations in any sector with new cost effective opportunities for communication. The RAD's Social Media Policy applies to the use of social media for the Royal Academy of Dance and governs how employees and officers - including examiners, pianists, mentors, practical teaching supervisors, tutors and any other workers - should use social media in both business and personal contexts.
