The Royal Academy of Dance offers a wide range of courses, classes and workshops for young people
Dance Gazette is an international dance publication produced by the Royal Academy of Dance, and published three times a year, in February, June and October.
The latest issue of Dance Gazette is devoted to exploring the art of creativity in dance – within the RAD and beyond. Award-winning writer Audrey Niffenegger (The Time Traveller’s Wife) and star choreographer Wayne McGregor meet to discuss creativity in the wake of their eagerly-awaited Royal Ballet premiere. We also examine the creative hub of the RAD, with its reaches into the RAD syllabi, Solo Performance Awards and large-scale events such as the Genée International Ballet Competition and Dance Proms.
Other features on creativity from around the world include: an exclusive look at the new Dancer’s Own choreography introduced at the Genée International Ballet Competition 2012 in Wellington, a visit to China’s biggest festival of contemporary dance in Guangzhou to meet the choreographers determined to express themselves and a celebration of San Francisco Ballet with their unparalleled reputation for new work.
This issue is available to purchase in selected branches of WHSmith and from the RAD shop.
You can also subscribe to Dance Gazette for just £9.99* per year! (*UK Direct Debit only).
