As dance and dance teaching is central to the work of the Royal Academy of Dance, our ethos of lifelong learning means that we are both equipped and committed to supporting teachers at every stage of their careers - whether you have been teaching for many years, run your own dance school or are a newly qualified or trainee teacher.
Our Faculty of Education graduates almost 1,000 students each year from its unique portfolio of dance and dance teaching qualifications. Our degrees, diplomas and certificates, whether undergraduate or postgraduate, university validated or validated by the RAD as a Chartered body enable students teachers, teachers and professional dancers to gain qualifications either at the Academy’s headquarters or by distance learning. As a membership organisation we are proud to have over 6,000 RAD Registered Teachers (RTS) and teachers recognised by mutual agreement teaching and entering candidates for RAD exams all over the world.
