Teachers

The course has opened doors for me in a way that I had dreamt of but not thought possible. I am indebted to all those who tutored us. Stephanie Rosenheim, RAD PDTD graduate

Everyone remembers a good teacher!

As dance and dance teaching is central to the work of the Royal Academy of Dance, our ethos of lifelong learning means that we are both equipped and committed to supporting teachers at every stage of their careers - whether you have been teaching for many years, run your own dance school or are a newly qualified or trainee teacher.

Our Faculty of Education graduates almost 1,000 students each year from its unique portfolio of dance and dance teaching qualifications. Our degrees, diplomas and certificates, whether undergraduate or postgraduate, university validated or validated by the RAD as a Chartered body enable students teachers, teachers and professional dancers to gain qualifications either at the Academy’s headquarters or by distance learning. Read our prospectus online.

As a membership organisation we are proud to have over 6,000 RAD Registered Teachers (RTS) and teachers recognised by mutual agreement teaching and entering candidates for RAD exams all over the world. Find out how to become a member and benefit from teaching under our world-renowned and respected brand name.
